About Edward Wallach, Ph.D.

Dr. Edward Wallach received an M.A. in Psychology from Long Island University, in addition he has an M.S. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Miami.

He was a Clinical Psychologist in the Department of Psychiatry at Baltimore City Hospital/Johns Hopkins Medical School, as well as an assistant professor in the Department of Behavioral Biology at John Hopkins Medical School. He had clinical, teaching and research interests in alcoholism and drug addiction.

He was on the staff of the V.A. Hospital and University  of Miami School of Medicine specializing in behavioral medicine applications to addiction and alcoholic patients. Dr. Wallach was the Director of the Alcohol and Drug Treatment Center for Behavioral Psychology in Miami, Florida for over 25 years. He was also a consultant psychologist at the Memorial Hospital Alcohol and Addiction Treatment Center in Hollywood, Florida. Additionally, he was a consultant psychologist, for over 12 years, at the South Miami Hospital/Baptist Healthcare Systems Stop Smoking Clinic. He served as the Chief, Psychology Subsection, Internal Medicine Department at Baptist Hospital and Healthcare Systems in Miami, Florida.
